Project Notes:
I’m Abush from Ethiopia, a teacher and lifelong volunteer. I’ve faced many hardships, but I dream of a better future. Your support can help me continue my education and uplift my community.

Abush Girma is the organizer of this fundraiser.
My name is Abush Girma, and I live in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
I grew up in a remote rural area without electricity, roads, or basic infrastructure. Life was full of challenges — yet, I worked hard and became the first in my family to earn a Bachelor of Science degree
For over 10 years, starting from grade 7, I have volunteered my time, skills, and energy to support elderly people, vulnerable children, and caregivers in my community — all without expecting payment. Helping others has always been my passion.
However, in Ethiopia, teachers earn less than $50 per month. This is not enough to support myself, my 4 brothers and 5 sisters (all students working small labor jobs to continue their education), and still pursue my own studies.
My dream is to study for a Master’s degree in Canada so I can gain advanced knowledge and return to create better opportunities for rural communities like mine. Education is my path to breaking the cycle of poverty — not just for me, but for many others.
I have no family members who can help me financially. This is why I am asking for your support. Your donation will help cover tuition, travel, and living costs so I can focus fully on my studies and community mission.
Every contribution — no matter the amount — will bring me closer to:
*Achieving my Master’s degree abroad
*Supporting my family’s education
*Creating sustainable community programs in rural Ethiopia
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story and considering helping me fulfill my dream.
How Donations Will Be Used:
*Tuition fees: $6,500
*Living expenses: $2,000
*Travel & visa costs: $1,500
